MSU political groups and parties

These are five of the main political groups Michigan State has to offer. As you can see from above, a lot of students lean towards the realm of MSU College Democrats, where it's a little over a 50 percent preference, whereas at the bottom of the totem pole is TPUSA with a little under a 3 percent preference.

We asked students around campus which political group they would identify with, and here are the results. Almost 50 percent of the students identified themselves as liberal or democrats, and about 20 percent identified themselves as socialists. Some identified themselves as moderate, with only 2 percent leaning towards conservative, and 12 percent leaning towards liberal.

Based on both graphs, there's a vast majority of liberal students as opposed to conservatives.
